SombaTerms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Somba. By applying for or using Somba, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Somba.
1. Who can use Somba
Somba is only for people aged 13 to 17. By applying, you confirm you are within that age range and that a parent or legal guardian agrees to your use of Somba. Your account becomes active only after your guardian approves it. One person may hold one account. Your application answers must be truthful and your own work. Do not use AI to write your application answers; if we find that you did, we may decline or remove your account.
2. Your account
Keep your sign-in email secure. You are responsible for activity on your account, and you should tell us right away if you think someone else is using it. We review applications by hand and may accept or decline any application at our discretion.
3. Membership, founding members, and payments
- Founding Membership. The first 1,000 accepted members receive a Founding Membership, which is free for life. Members who join after the first 1,000 may be required to pay for membership.
- Somba AI. AI features are a separate, optional add-on, expected to cost $1.99 per week when released. Founding Members keep the right to add AI at that price. Pricing and availability are not final and may change before launch.
- Referrals. If a friend joins Somba through your invite link and becomes an active member, you earn one free week of Somba AI, to be applied when AI is available. Referral credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and may be voided if we detect abuse or fake accounts.
- Payments (future). Because members are minors, any paid features must be purchased and paid for by a parent or legal guardian. Billing terms, any trial, and cancellation details will be shown at the time of purchase, and you may cancel at any time as required by law.
4. Community rules
Be honest, be kind, and keep people safe. You agree not to:
- harass, bully, threaten, or harm anyone;
- share sexual, violent, hateful, or illegal content;
- share other people's private information;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your work;
- spam, scrape, or try to break, overload, or bypass the service or its limits;
- use Somba for anything illegal, or for adult-to-minor contact.
Somba is text, links, and optional profile photos only. A profile photo must be yours to share and must follow the same safety rules as everything else on Somba. We may remove content and suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
5. Safety
If something feels wrong, use the reporting tools or email sombaapp@gmail.com. Urgent safety reports are reviewed by a person. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services first.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you create on Somba. You give us permission to store, display, and share your content within Somba as needed to run the service. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to share it.
7. Ending your membership
You or your guardian can close your account at any time by emailing ymjiang77@gmail.com. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, ages out of the 13 to 17 range, or where a guardian withdraws consent.
8. Service provided "as is"
Somba is provided as is, without warranties. We are building this carefully, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Somba and its team are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law, including a minor's or a guardian's legal protections.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify members and guardians. Continuing to use Somba after changes means you accept them.
